can someone explain to me what program change does? please

hey wats going on fellow mpc peoples. im alttile confused of what the program change does.can someone explain

a program change is a midi event that is used to change a voice/preset/instrument on external gear like synths and sound modules.

u can use programchange to switch programs on que with the sequencer.
for example if you load a sequence into your MPC can automaticly switch all your other external gear with MIDI to the patch you like to use with that particular sequence.
