1000 dont read 2000xl ALL files?

the akai site says the 1000 would read 2000xl ALL files with the new software... well mine refuses to
anybody else got this problem? somebody enlighten me please!

The manual is referring to the file that you save when you save all seq&songs and/or all pgm&seqs it's not referring to the mpc2000(xl) .all file. the only thing other than sample, seq and pgm files the 1k can load from the 2000(xl) is the .snd file.

i could not find anywhere in the 1k 2.1 manual stating that it will load the 2000(xl) .ALL file. i did not see it on their website either.

The 2500 should be able to read 2000xl .ALL files with OS 1.1.
As far as i can see the 1000 doesn't, but i can't test it myself...

No, if you read it properly its only PGM and MIDI, SEQ and WAv and SND.

Never has it done .ALL and probably never will. Especially .APS

Ok let me make sure im understanding Correctly. If i have a sequence saved that i done on da MPC2000 and i have the sounds(program) i used i can load that in the 1k correct? If so then that answers my question for today about the 1k. Also anotha quick question has the new os fixed the timing issues with recording sequences. Like i had the 1k but the swing shit and quantatize was **** me up. I know on my 2k i can set it to 1/16 but i could neva set it to 1/16 on the 1k only 1/16(3) or something shit i forget. But let me know.

if i understand you correctly, the 1k always allowed for 1/16. ever since the 1k came out, it allowed for 1/8, 1/8(3),1/16,1/16(3),1/32.1/32(3).

Yeah i couldnt rememba but i think it was da swing dat had me. Not sure but i think im good wit goin back to gettin a 1k cause the 2k takes up so much space and when i be goin to da studios in Atlanta i need to take that to work on stuff so da 1k is great for traveling. Thanks sparq i'll be hittin u up sometimes.

that's what's up. but yeah, you can't add swing to the (3) resolutions. but i'm here, hit me up whenever.
