Copped MPC 1000 BK Today!!

Yeah just wanted to say I am finally officially part of the mpc family. Got the mpc 1000 BK today. Out the book the unit is identical to the red/blue version. The Black comes with OS v.2.0 I haven't upgraded to 2.1 but I will tomorrow. The built is exactly the same and the pads are the same also. The unit did not include the hdm 10 hard drive kit. I Heard it didn't and I have already installed a 40gb Toshiba hard drive and the EXP RAM. I got mines from Guitar Center in San Diego and they only had 3 arrive today. I paid $799 plus tax. Lookin forward to chattin with everybody and I wil uploadl some pics of the unit asap.

ahh yeahhh..juss grabbed mine a month ago...loving it!!!

Does anyone know if the pads have been altered on the bk...or am i eventually end up needing to rep[l]ace em ... due to the things ive read..

how do you guys like the difference between the 1000 pad size in comparison to the other models...

When i changed the pad sensitivity to about 3, i noticed that id have to hold my kick down and "dap" then..aha, bare with me...rather then hittin em from a higher level...when i did that, it would almost gimme 127..wierd, mabey i was tripping...what yall think.
