Mpc1000 & Alesis Andromeda Question

Hey everyone

Is anyone out there using an mpc1000 with an Alesis Andromeda? I'm trying to download some new bank sounds (midi files) from the MPC and all that seems to happen is the mpc freezes up when doing so. Any tips would be really appreciated.

I once used my 1k to load a new OS (.mid file) into my Evolver.
The MPC froze but apparently was still sending the sysex data cause the updating process on the Evolver worked fine.
So you have a .mid file loaded in a seq on you MPC and selected the right midi channel for that track (corresponding to your Andromeda?)
Did you adjust the Andromeda so it's able to receive Sysex?
Select the slowest tempo on the MPC.

I tried doing the same thing with my Micron, I ended up getting a MIDI Sport 2X2(for this and other reasons) and downloaded MIDI Sysx and that worked fine.

The sysexfiles of the A6 are realy big.
