Note off like MPC 2000xl

Hi , I am a former 2000xl user and I looked through the manual for this but can't seem to find it. How do you set the pad on the 1000 to play only the length you hit it it was called note off in the program screen of the 2000xl . I E. You were given the option of note off mono and poly but I only see the latter two on the 1000 pgm screen.

mode>program, then pick your sample, hit the wind button>Note on. And your good.
