MPC 1000 Drum Map

Anyone make a MPC1000 drum map for nuendo 3?

can you explain what this does please?

its so that the mpc and nuendo play the same notes according to the pad on the mpc.

dude...would this mean that you could save a midi file from the mpc and open it in cubase and have all the same sounds play on screen, essentially eliminating tracking altogether?

please tell me if i'm crazy.

thats the idea, but its with the midi notes, you would have to load the samples in according to the mpc drum map............... I..................... think Im still trying to figure this all out. Sparq I need your help with nuendo.

Nym, I PM'd you how to do this a lil while ago..also don't have to use a Drum Map to do it, only a soft sampler...I been using this method for a while and in most cases is infinately better...PM me

Don't people buy the mpc for the sound? Tracking is a pain in my ass though (comnig from a Ableton Live / Reason user for years)

i prefer tracking into my DAW rather than importing midi data and loading the samples... i use Logic 5.1 and the Exs 24mkII for this usally but i feel you loose the MPC's sound because you aren't recording from the lil blue box, stuff that i've tracked in sound phatter and fuller... if you are goin to rebuild ya ideas in ya DAW using the midi data and samples, whats the point in havin ya lil blue box, you might as well just start ya ideas in ya DAW

what about the control, sequencer, and workflow?

if you lose any timing or anything like that, i wouldn't do ths

however, if this isn't the case, i might.
most good sound cards have better d/a converters than the 1000 do. also, if you're exporting stuff digitally, you dont really get the mpc1000's sound character anyway. granted, i like working with audio mroe than midi, but this might be useful especially when we're talking about vst effects...[/list]
