Problems with midi in/out from MPC to M-audio FW 410

Hello, i got an MPC
i have setted my MPC to be in sync with my host (ableton live 5)
everything is ok...i did everything as explained in the manual...and the cables are right...midi out from MPC to Midi in in to the FW 410...
but my pc does not recognize the midi messages..
i have already installed a MPC trigger finger and an Oxigen 8 Keyboard through USB, i have heard that windows can deal only with a few midi devices all at once...can this be the case?
anyone dealed with this?

have you setup your Midi Channels in Live to even recieve Midi in the first place ?

Remember MPC and LIVE have to be on the same Channel in order for to work. CH 1A etc..

yeah...i did it...
but i have tried other hosts (fruity loops) and it (soundcard) does not receive midi...

I also had bad problems with the FW410 Midi In/Out. It worked a few mins after reboot, i played some notes and then it just crashed and didn't send/recieve any midi signals...the only solution was to buy a midi interface...
