Loading samples into 1K Problem please help????

Hey guys I am new here and came to the pros for an answer.

I use Cool Edit to record and chop my samples from my turntable. After cleaning them up (Click/pop filter, etc.) I save them as a PCM (WAV.) File. I then try to load them into the MPC Via USB. When I do this I get all the samples but all samples are the same? And it also only plays for about a second? What am I doing wrong???? Thanks in advance.

P.S. I do have the 128MB Ram!!!

Sorry.......For example, IF I loaded Melodey 1, melodey 2, and so on. When I press play to view it, it plays the same one for each melodey, and only the first second or so of the melodey.

that's rather odd, but let me ask you a question. do these filenames go over 16 characters in length? if they do and the first 16 characters of the filenames are identical, you will hear the same exact sound as the first sample audtioned. if thats the case, rename your files. as far as auditioning it and hearing only the first second or so, could it be that you didn't hold down the play button for the duration of the sample?

Ok I think I have it figured out. On the samples that didnt play the Bit Rate was different than the ones I just got to work. So I guess that was the problem. Thanks for all of everyones help.
