Hi Newbie Question!

Hi, I finally cop my MPC 1000 on Wednesday. It really is an intuitive machine and I am already loving it. Just one quick question. Whenever I try to assign a name for the track, the screen jumps quickly back to main screen. I found out that this problem occured when the light of REC button blinked. I installed OS 2.1 and wonder if it's a bug or not. Any solution to this? Thank you in advance.

just turned back on and it's working like it should. Hmm, don't know why it happened?

It's acting funny again, could this be a hardware malfunction? Should I return it? It's really annoying cuz whenever I want to name seqence/track/etc., it just goes back to main.

Don´t be offended, but you´re not accidently pressing "CANCEL" instead of "DO IT"? Happens to me sometimes when I´m tired and worn out after a long session.
You just want to sort it and tuck everything in and finish off and you´re naming all those tracks and programs you haven´t had time to specify while working, and you mispress the buttons, getting pissed off, retyping, names another track, mispress etc.
