A simple thing I want to do on the 1000

What's up everybody there's a simple thing that I would like to do with the 1000. When I record the drums over a defined tempo i often get off-rhythm, because the drum sounds will cover the metronome.

I tried to record my drums on a blank program then just switch program but I don't know why the notes assignations were all messed up after that...


An idea of how I can handle this?

make sure the blank pgm's notes in program mode are the same as the one you're switching to.

I already posted this bug report in herebut noone (including you ) could find an answer....

I use a "chromatic" pgm that way they're always the same rather than the sometimes random one assigned by the MPC. Hope that helps.

Damn this thing is really bugging me
I don't understand why this could happen at all...

what i don´t understand: if your newly played drum pattern is so loud that you cannot hear the metronome anymore, why don´t you listen to this instead of the click? if u played correctly is should have the right speed and no timing problems. if you have that big issues to follow a rhytm figure as it is playing, how do you manage to follow the metronome?
another way is: first record a sound that clicks and is audible enough to your ears on track 1, then you have a personal metronome on which you can adjust the volume and the stresses (e.g. ONE-two-three-four or ONE-two-THREE-four etc.).

turn your pads down in the mixer, record them. then turn them back up.

or just learn to keep time

how is your blank program ? no samples in it at all ?
if so, maybe try to have in it some silent samples.

otherwise, try to change anything which is different from this blank program and your normal program.

or try to change small steps of your workflow, like switching program before or after stoppign record.
