chopping slow as a turtle

damn my trim page is beginning to look like the 2000's

when i chop samples over 15 seconds its slow as ****

should i do the kev brown

and sample small and trim faster

but what good is the zoning

anyone got any tips for me??

are you sampling/chopping in mono or stereo?

always mono

unless i for get

then i resample in mono and delete the stereo

that's funky, man...i typically have long samples like those to chop 30 or so samples from and it doesn't really slow me down.

here's a question - have you trimmed the prechopped samples as much as you could before attempting the chop? that might save you some work...

i thought i read on this forum that everything you chop on your mpc1000 will be mono.

If you're trying to find that info on the PDF manual, it'll be on a different page. So on the Table Of Contents, you'll find the answer in the beginning of Chapter 11: Editing A Sample.

not sure of what you mean. i mean it scrolls super slow compared to when i chop like a 4 or 5 second sample

come to think of it, i guess its not much of a problem.

nah, you didnt cause any ruckus. anyway, if you havent tried it already, use the q-link sliders for quicker scrolling. the data wheel is better for fine-trimming, but can also be adjusted in increments using the shift button on the selected time area of the sample, if you prefer. hope that helps. 8)
