loading two different projects

I have a question about loading up projects that I have saved. I have read the manual and done an intense search of this site, but can't seem to figure it out. I came up with two different patterns that I like alot. I saved both of them at different times using the "save entire memory" method. That worked great. Now what I want to do is load both of these projects into memory so that I can switch between the two sequences. It seems that when you load a project it overwrites everything that is currently in the memory. Am I missing somthing completely obvious? Any help would be appreciated.

you need to load one and then save the pattern on its own probably an then load it into the other project.

you can import effects saves from the all seqs and sogns function if needed.
