A few Newbie Questions

Hey everyone. so im more than likely gettin an mpc 1000 very soon, and im just wonder should i get a harddrive,ram,and cf card aswell. if so what ones do ye recomend etc etc, ive been making tacks on fruity loops for a good while so so im not to sure about the world of mpcìng lol. i know the ram will make it faster etc, but what can be stored on the harddrive andcf card?? does it sample stuff to the harddrive or what? so if i hade a 80gig harddrive would i be able to sample 80 gigs of stuff or just keep my favourite drum sounds and one shot samples on it?

and is the flash card for transporting sounds from here to there or whatever?? sorry for asking so much stuped questions, oh and if i get a harddrive from somewhere else maybe a Toshiba will i need to buy a mounting plate with it? and ive read that i need HDM-10? what is HDM-10?

"EDIT" ohh so the HDM-10 is the mounting kit, just found out there, "OS 2.10 is required" is it easy to install os2 as soon as i get the mpc?

Ram doesnt make it faster, it allows more sampling time.
A hardrive is VERY CONVIENENT, so get it.
Yes you need a mounting Kit, BUt you dont need it to run 2.10 its only to install the hardrive.
