I know this has probably been asked over a 1000 times, and I've tried using the search method but no results. Well my question is I have my 1000 and I want to record my PK-6 in real-time onto a track on the mp without having to sample the output of my pk. I've seen it on a few videos where the just lay it down while the sample is playing.

maybe what u want is to midi them together and _sequence_ the pk from a track on the mpc?

or maybe what you want is to just start things playing and go into record mode while its still playing and record from the pk outputs into the mpc? (i would still call that 'sampling' the outputs; there's no real distinction).

those are the only 2 options i can think of

Connections/Settings:Emu PK-6
MIDI OUT to MPC IN
Hit MIDI on the keyboard use the cursor till it says MULTI MODE make sure that is set to MULTI-accepted

Connections/Settings:Akai MPC1000
MIDI OUT to PK-6 IN
Change DRUM to MIDI

Now when u use channel 1, 2, ect on the PK-6 the track u are recording to should respond to it. For example

PK-6-Channel 1-Bass
MPC-MIDI 1A or 1B(depending on which port u used)

If u still confused hit me up on aim or yahoo i own that keyboard and will be glad to help you.
