Yo! Question: Individual track assignment per pad??

Peace fellow MPC-philes.

I'm looking for a quick and dirty way to separate sounds. Can I assign different samples to the pads [kick, snare, hats on 3 different pads] then assign each pad to a respective track? I'm looking to record all three sounds in real time, but have them separated onto three tracks, for each individualized output into my mixer/ recorder.

Any insights much appreciated.

Oh, and I been threatening to to upload some of my tracks, I do believe I'll get around to it today.

Why don't you record them all on track at first.

Seperate them later on to their own tracks after you get the realtime
sequencing good and complete.

the individual outs are assigned on a per-pad basis anyway, so you don't really need to have them on separate tracks.

there's more than one way to do this, but one way would be to record the three pads onto a single track, copy that track two times, then while in record, press erase and the two pads that you don't want on the track. do this to each track until there's only one pad sound on each track.

but why do that if all he wants to do is track out the different sounds to different assignable outs?

yea, probably not nessecary, unless you want to track out from the stereo outs with the effect and compression, or if the recorder is only 2 in.

it's also useful if you want to mute sounds from the mute page, which wasn't asked for in the original question.

Just the solution I need. I appreciate it. So then, if I want to get, say, 16 different sounds sent via individual outs, I'd need to MIDI my MPC to my recorder and do several different pass throughs, each time assigning different pads to the individual outs. I think I got it. Peace...
