Cf card and harddrive

Hey guys, so im ordering my mpc1000 in a few days. im getting an 80gig harddrive with it and maybe a cf card, if i link the mpc to the computer will the harddrive come up as another drive on the computer and i can just drag files into it? i know this works with the cf card but does it work with the harddrive?

im not 100% sure what you store on the harddrive to be honest, is it your samples you store on it or savaed projects etc or both?
