USB Drive not working

Hey,
My MPC is plugged up to the PC via USB but the drive isn't poppin up and it isn't registering on your computer. The saftey hardware drive comes up but not the folder to put samples in. Does anybody know why this is happening?

go to LOAD menu and hit the function button for USB.

it should connect.

Did you go to USB mode on the MPC before you connected the MPC to the computer? If not, you have to go to SAVE or LOAD mode on the MPC then from there go to USB mode, then connect to computer. Then it will appear as a hard drive (in My Computer if you are on a PC).

I never have had this problem before. I went to my computer and the drive isn't even there. I went to load on the mpc and then usb and then connected the plug to the computer. I don't have a clue in what's goin on.

restart your pc with the USB unplugged and boot up and try again with a different port or something.

the USB drivers have been built in to Windows since atleast Win98 i believe.

go to device manager and check your USB port there too.

Thanks Cap_Ill and TBonus. I had to restart my computer about 3 times and eventually it started working. Good lookin on the help
