i don't want to get on anyone really, but check it out - this forum is really only about the mpc1000. it's not about other stuff - midi confusion, software w/ mpc confusion - basically, when you have a question, do this
analyse the situation and figure out where your issue lies. if it's focused around a particular piece of equipment and said device is not the mpc, it belongs in mpc studio environments.
if your question is how to do a certain trick, achieve a certain sound, etc - production techniques. good forum.
see, i'm posting this because your questions will get MUCH better answers in a forum which is dedicated to that kind of question.
what THIS forum is for is the understanding of the functions, quirks, guts and advanced techniques of the mpc1000 as an instrument. tutor recently put out a book that deals with this stuff - mastering your instrument. please post what you do that you think works - your techniques, how you do a certain sound, etc. discuss it. read what other people are doing. take what info you like and leave what you don't.
just a tip. this forum could be a great place for that.
