can't be good.

everything is firmly plugged in? is your mpc hooked up to a surge protector? if so, is anything nudging the off/reset switch?

definitely sounds like a surge issue. swap it with something else and see if the same happens.

i have mine hooked up with my daw to a battery pack just in case. 2 most important things-- mpc and daw.

When I first used it I usually sat with it in my lap (mostly do so now too), but as I need to adjust my legs, boxers and stuff while sitting for long periods I had the mains plug twitch slightly out of place and kill the machine. Since then I grab that plug everytime I move myself or the machine

The plug is, at least on mine, not really as sturdy and well fitting as it should, a slight wiggle can put it out of place of the connectors and cut the power, it doesn´t seem to be out but you feel the loosenes of the plug.

never happened to me. dosnt sound good....

i would try to download the latest OS again. maybe something in the program is corrupted or something and caused it to restart? sorta like a computer?

i dont know man...i would be saving every change i make from that point on.

mine did some weird stuff this weekend. at some point i was loading a sample and it loaded it but i couldn't access it in program mode. when i was spinning the dial it would loop back around to the first sample name and never let me get to the one i had loaded.

i had to turn it off 2 times to get it to work right. then everything was fine.
