midi mapping to 1000's pads

Im using my mpc to trigger drums and samples on my computer. I dont understand the pattern the mpc assigns midi notes to its pads. Is there any way to change which pad triggers which midi note?

yes there is. go to program then note and just change the midi notes starting from 35- or 36(if you use recycled loops)

cool but is there a way to save it or do i have to reconfigure the pads every time i turn the mpc on? Also with the quick tests Ive done it doesnt seem to change anything. Even though Ive swapped pad 1 and 2 around to c than c# it still triggers the previous notes in battery.

Sounds like you got same midi notes on several pads. double check every pads midi note that theyre all different and then save the program for example as "midi" or something. Ive been using that kind of midi program and yet I havent had any problems.
