how many notes in midi

how many notes can the mpc sequence simultaneously over midi?
I know (correct me if i'm wrong!) it's 32 internally, but does that apply to midi (outboard samplers, synths etc) too?

You asked for it : 32 internal mono samples, 16 if they're all stereo (and of course, you can make up your numbers for combinations of mono and stereo samples, using 2 notes for each stereo sample, 1 for each mono).

As for the polyphony for sequencing external devices, that's a good question, and I'm afraid that I don't know the answer. I was wondering about the same thing myself just the other day.
