sample help

I need some help with samplng in the mpc. How do you turn off the overlapping of the sample while hitting the sample pad twice? is thier a way too cut off the sample instead of making it repeat itself by hitting the sample pad twice? thanks

mode--->program--->params--->change it from poly to mono

thanks man, sorry for all these questions you guys. I barely got my mpc last 3 days ago and i'm trying too learn everything. Any other tips i should know about?

really though, read the book and actually, push the buttons you read about to see what they do. it will all become clear once you do that.
