Hello there. My first post. I've owned the MPC1000 about a year and was just using it as a glorified input device for logic. I am trying to make my system less computer centered and just use the computer for advanced editing etc.
So what I did was take a sequence I had been working on with the MPC and dumped it to midi. I imported it to logic and synced them up. Logic seperated out the separate tracks but it would not play anything but one program for all tracks. I tried changing the midi channel number and the program numbers etc.
My more specific question. How do the program numbers of the internal MPC programs map to midi program numbers? I tried changing the program numbers around in logic and it would solve the problem.
As an aside I was listening to the MPC1000 on headphones and noticed the samples were quite noisy and distorted. Making sure compression a eq was off didn't change it. I updated the system to 2.01 and voila it was gone.
Does anyone else think the timing correct is not very good?
One other feature I would like to see would be having a click play while recording new samples. Would be useful for recording phrases or loops essentially for a song. Maybe a recurring phrase in a rap etc.
