Using Q-link to control external midi modules

Can q-link send cc info? or modulation or pitch wheel?
I want to use it to control my s3000 samplers filters/pitch for a live gig next weekend.

I'm going to be triggering dubby sound effects/vocals.
It'll be my first gig with the mpc1k, i've used laptop and kaoss pad in the past, but bored of that.

If I cant use qlinks for external equipment, has anyone got any bright ideas?

Joey, if you have an Oxygen 8 controller, that wouldnt be too bad to carry around with it's light weight and compact size. When I get my S2000 during the week, I'll try assignin MIDI CC's with the Oxygen 8. But anyhow, I don't see why Wakai can't assign CC's to the Q-links, when they're assignable to a number of functions. Hopefully JJ can implement this in the future.

Our Q-link sliders would gain alot of milage. But they should hold up well for quite a while if care is taken. Otherwise, I have no problem putting on all the wear and tear on the Oxygen 8 and not having to worry about it breaking.

I assumed I could do it! Was very surprised to find out i couldn't.
Would be so easy to implement I'm sure.

CC stands for "Critical Condition". It's a midi-protocol used to send out warnings to different machines so they'll know when they are close to overheating. The other machines then take over and simulate the sound of the overheated machine so there's no noticeable 'gap' in the music.

Damn, you can assign the slider on a 2000xl , hell even the little ribbon controller on a cheap a** Yamaha SU 10 can be CC# assigned. I am dissapointed you cannot do this with Q linkz....

I know, what i mean was i wonder how they using it to control other parameters, if we knew this we would know if it can send MIDI
