MIDI Playback In Pro Tools

Whats good? My homboy let me use his MPC 1000, cause he never got around 2 using it. My problem is I'm having trouble getting playback. I'm using OS 10.3.9 with a mbox 2. When I record in Pro Tools I am getting levels, I can see the data I recorded, but when I try 2 get playback I don't hear anything.

The funny thing is my cousin got a MPC 4000, and I made the same connections and I got playback from the tracks we recorded. I don't know if I'm not doing something that I did on the 4000 or if I'm doing something wrong with PT.

If someone could help me out with the steps to fix this I would appreciate it.

the mp's are totaly different in some ways.. it might be the cables.. or the inputs on the mp.. they might be messed up.. who knows.. but try different things.. that i dont know about..lol.. but try whatever comes to thought or ask the dude with the mp.. the one your using..

yeah ive tried everything i could think off switchings, but still no luck.
