Mpc 1000 external drive ?

I know you can sample from a cd into the 2500,so could I plug an external cd drive into the 1000 into the digital input and sample from a drum loop cd ?

If your CD player has SP/DIF output, then yes, this would work. Otherwise, you'd have to use the CD player's analog outputs to the MPC analog ins.
