I'm wandering, since now the MPC 1000 has 128mb expandibility what is the sample capacity, ie what is the maximum amount of samples you can have with a 1 sample per pad scheme? The MPC 2000XL, you could have a maximum of 16 pads * 4 banks = 64 samples as long as they fit within the 32mb memory capacity.
I know that you can layer 4 sounds per pad, but im more concerned with how many samples i can have, if i only place one sample per pad. I understand that there are 24 program capacity, does that mean that by switching programs I can access a different set of 4 pad banks? That way I could have 64 samples in program 1, and like 32 on program 2, as long as the samples do not take up the 128 expanded memory capability?
I dunno if this makes sense, any help is appreciated. Peace yall
