Tempo Lock??

So when playing live, is there a way to lock the bpm and keep it from changing?
i've had mess ups in practice where i hit tap tempo during note repeat and it changes the whole tempo...

call me a noob but i just need to figure this out before tonight.

I don't think that there is a way to lock the tempo (could well be wrong - never tried to do it). Something you can do, though is to change the number of taps over which the tap tempo button averages the new tempo. I think it's in the MISC screen somewhere. If you raise this to four (it defaults to 2), then you can probably get away with a few more accidental taps on the note-repeat button between actual note-repeats before it resets the tempo.

Of course, instead of using note repeat, you could spend the next few hours practising your 1/32 triplets to perfection

In the manual, page 17:

"As the note repeat function is used together with the tap tempo key, the tempo may be changed unexpectedly during the note repeat function. For preventing this accident, set OFF in the Tap average field in the 'misc' page in 'other' mode."
