Clicking noise when I upgrade OS

I have a mpc1000 with os 1.07 when I upgrade it to 2.10 I just get a fast clicking noise when i press play. (goes away if i turn the metronome off then its just silence) None of my sounds play. This also happens if i upgrade to 3.05. When i go back to 1.07 everything works fine. I've done this several times same outcome. I've searched and read for hours this question has been asked but never answered I saw the post with the conversion chart but I don't know what screen to change the values on. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

did you ever consider asking akai? i know people say their customer service sucks but still its worth a try, isnt it?

Maybe someone has had this problem b4 since I frequently read here I thought I'd post and see b4 I did all that

Never mind I got it I just kept on trying (maybe 20 times in total) and finally I unplugged it b4 i did it and it worked so i'm running 3.05 now
