:?: im trying to laydown some mean drumrolls, but cant seem to get them to sound like i want. anyone have suggestions for me?? i was told only certain kinds of snares work. is this true?? ?? .thanks. :?:

if you cant lay it down yourself, get the drum roll/sequence from a midi file on the net. probably find some good rolls in a rock track.

any snare will do, so long as it sounds right :lol:

My personal method for this is to load two of the same snare onto different pads next to each other, tune one of the snares a tad lower or higher then the other and then record with TC off.... Its actually really easy to do rolls when both of your hands are controlling the same sound. Try it out.

prod - i'm just givin you a hard time, haha don't worry about it

and brown - that is a good tip for when you only have 1 snare sample.

yeah or turn off tc if u got quick fingers maybe wit some 16 level velocity
