Recording the beat..

Hi. When i am finish with a beat i just transfer it with two jack kable from main out too the mic entrance on my pc. And then just record it with any music prog. The only bad thing about it is that the sound is not so nice. its kind of a wind in the backround when i play it.

Is it some better way to record it too my pc?

consider obtaining a better soundcard or an audio interface...

Not sure what soundcard you have but try using the LINE IN. Also is your MPC1000 maxed out? If so have you ever thought of using resampling? If you use resampling then your beat will be re-recorded and now it becomes a .wav file that you can transfer over to your PC. If that is not an option then consider checking your levels on your mpc and your PC to make sure you dont have any clipping going on. I could go on for days but I think you get the picture if not let me know.
