Hooking up a dvd player

Is it true that you can hook up a dvd player to a MPC to sample something from a movies. if so what wires would I need?

Uhhhhhhhh yeah......regular audio cords will do, the rca ones with the left and right connections...Hook up the cord to the dvd player's rca audio outs to inputs on the MPC......you may have to cop one of them plug adapters but then again you should know that....

anything.....ANYTHING with a sound source can be hooked up to any MPC to sample

Now the question posted should be. "How do u store samples and sounds and things on a dvd" Or " How do u load up samples that are stored on a dvd" Thats what I thought this thread was gonna be about.
