yo whats up man ya i had a problem with the samething when i got my mpc and my audigy to work together. i know ur pains. but check it on the link that u gave us. imagine that keyboard being the mpc notice theres an midi in and out to ur audigy. now open up ur manual to midi hook ups beleive it or not midi is what it is and not like routing audio is close but not the same.. most programs like fruitypoo wants to be a master to the setup in ur case u got the mpc1000 but when software crys wolf u have to go to its aid. in other words ur gonna have to have ur computer be the master to the setup and ur mpc be the slave. i hope u know how to do that. if u dont by now u obviously didnt read the manual on ur mpc1000 it tells u how to do so. hit us back with what software u use for now just hook up ur midi cables to ur interface open ur mpc manual and read how to do so. its easy

it's pretty confusing for me man, what page in the manual should i focus on? and if possible, can u guide me with step by step instructions? since u sais it's easy too do....thanks bro.

heh check it its easy and ill even give u the page number but u have to promise to read that manual its not that long of a lesson.

mpc midi out to computer interface midi in
computer interface midi out to mpc1000 midi in

now to give it a test to see if it works i want u to go to ur audio hq directory on ur machine sense we both have a sound blaster with the same software kinda. ull see a keyboard go ahead and launch that virtual keyboard now in ur mpc1000 in the pgm: field change that to no.1 or 2 ull notice it changes the sound in the banks, and if ur using the midi out on ur mpc1000 "midi outA" change ur midi to midi:1a

this is why u have to read the manual cause im walking u through this and its explaind in idiot proof detail in the book. i can explain to u but u prolly wont understand well sense my english sucks balls. but this how u use a keyboard if u had one a synth i mean. software will work the same if it allows it to work like a sound module. the programs i know that work as sound modules are reason and gigastudio but there pricey as ****. so whatever ur using its prolly a tracker. i still dont know what program ur using i can only help u if ur using fruityloops sense thast the only program i use as my daw. i can walk u through that if ur using the same shit as i. ohh ya dont forget to route ur audio out from ur mpc to ur computer quarter inch in. i wouldnt recommend connecting ur monitor outs to ur computer just because it sounds geh. pick another out from ur many outs on ur mpc to ur computer. hey u got spidif use spidif instead its incredibly clean. hit me up mang

heres the page for midi hook ups read pages 47 to 50 and page 5 for an intro. u really have to read the manual otherwise ull be like all those other fools who paid alot of money and never got anywhere with this great box. heres the link to the manual incase u lost urs now rtfm

damn, i have too go buy anohter midi cable then. in the manual is only has one midi cable going out too the audio interface. so is that all i need? my bad bro, thanks for all your help though. you're the man

ya the reason ull want another cable is because u want to hit play on ur software daw and itll send a midi signal to ur mpc1000 to start playing. the mpc will also work as a midi controller to ur computer software but ull need a midi cable going out from ur mpc to ur computer midi in, u really only need one cable u dont have to have ur mpc1000 as a midi controller most users dont even bother with that, but its always an option. write back broder :P

hey man, what kinda equipment and software are you using? b/c i have FL 6, adobe audition (cool edit) and acid pro. I was wondering if i can sync my mp too FL or adobe or Acid. I posted this up before, and poeple said i couldn't. But i just read your topic you made and it said you sync them. let me know whats up man. seriously, you're the nicest dude on the site. everyone just says..."search it" thanks in advance bro

DAMNN DUDE U GOT BANK IF U OWN ALL THEM PROGRAMS but u got no skill on how to read the manuals that come with them. U GOTTA LEARN TO READ FOOL!!.DO NOT SKIP A SINGLE LINE IM ABOUT TO TELL U ITS THE HOLY GRAIL FOR ANYONE WHO EVER WANTED TO KNOW u direct them to this link u better bookmark now bitchs

shit all i got is fruityloops as my daw, theres post already made on adobe audtion even videos on how to set that up as well as other videos for the otehr progs u mentiond except for soundforge that only supports mtc witch mpc1000 does not have btw, u wont find anyone else here using fruityloops as there daw for some reason everyone hates it including me who needs it lol, but let me show u how to record using fruityloops, fruity in my opinion is the best software sampler/tracker its jsut pimp but its midi options are lame its effects are crap its step sequencer is okay if u want 64 step recording BUT HAS NO **** RECORD RELEASE TO STEP SEQUENCER that feature is allowed only in piano roll but piano roll has no tic correction like the step sequencer WHEN U PLAY WITCH IS IMPORTANT. and its quality is shit and its buggy as **** and they finally realized that updaates need to be free instead of renewing a **** liscense over agin just for a fix **** imageline and there shit., **** them but thats why we own an mpc1000 right? lol :) thank god (akai) we are saved and sean shea for sleeping at the desk

THE SETUP===========
okay with that one midi cable i want u to replug it this way.
if u get crazy latency with ur midi setup on ur computer u might want to check out asio4all witch is a driver that lets u take advantage of all ur inputs and outputs, standard audio driver that comes with ur soundcard might have asio installd mine didnt i had to download it from the asio4all website. google it if u need it

FOLLOW THIS=======
computer midi out to mpc1000 midi in
now i hope u got quarter inch cable around. for this well use the quarterinch in slot 1 of ur mpc1000 output 1. if not ull need to use spidif ur spidif out from mpc to ur spidif in on ur computers interface but ull have to configure ur spidif on ur computer to meet the same samplerate and shit on ur mpc1000 witch is 441000khz. decide what u want to do now. if u choose the quarter inch then go to ur mpc1000 mixer properties..

mode+pad8 now im hoping ur at the program of ur choice already sequenced on ur mpc1000, if u dont have anything made just go back a window to main and go to load a program. pick one full of drumkits reccord a snare and a kick bang away boom bap boom bap. this is just a demo so u can see how its done

now go back to ur mixer like i showed u above in ur mpc1000. turn all the sounds in that phrase to the output 1/2. reember thats the quarter inch cable leaving ur mpc1000 output1 to ur computers line in. u can also use the mpc1000 main out to ur computers line in but u wont hear audio coming from ur speakers unless u got a mixer with sends or u use the computers dinky speakers. just **** it folllow these instructions, i hope u got ur mpc1000 hooked to ur computer correctly. theres so many ways to route audio u deicde whast best, i just hope u know how to use ur mpc1000 outs in the mpc100 mixer propertys its simple as hooking up a dvd player to ur tv

now in fruityloops i want u to go to options at the top menu
select enable midi remote control
select enable midi output
select enable midimastersync

NOW in fruityloops agin i want u to go to audiosetting in the options menu, for output i want u to select asio and sample rate 44100

now in the same window i want u to select midi tab witch is on the left side.
make sure u select the correct master output device ur remote control input and controller type make it generic controller. ur correct output device would be ur soundcard midi out and ur remote will be ur midi input.

=============

now in ur mpc1000 im hoping u got to read this in the manual cause ima walk u through this.if i loose u ask me pathetically to whip out my dick agin so u can suck..

go to mode+midi/sync witch is pad 9 select the sync tab witch is f2 now in sync in select 1

sync in :1
sync out:off

now back in fruityloops summon ur fruityloops mixer by hitting f9, ohh ya please learn ur fruityloops keybinding it makes u look elite. once ur mixer pops up i want u to select an empty effects channel and rename it to mpc1000. u dont have to rename it but atleast ull know what channel 4 is u know?!? btw u can also add effects in here so if u want to use fruityloops effects with ur mpc1000 u can. now in the same window select at the bottom of the mixer ur sound cards midi input device. ur output device will be master for now. now same window i want u to select that lil diskette icon. click on it till u see a new window pop up, well call it a new filename, well call it RECORDINGSHIT then hit save. now at the top of i want u to hit record where the playback button is and stop button is on fruityloops its at the top by default.

now hit play on the fruityloops and ull notice that ur mpc1000 is playing alongwith fruityloops automatically.dont freak out if ur mpc1000 says ext where the tempo used to be. cause all thats saying is ur **** geh not reading the manual and havn my coffee drinkn ass explain this to u, ur lucky im caffinated and have no girlfriend. heres a cool trick if u select in fruityloops how long u want recording to last u can so by slecting how many bars in the tracker window.. u can also use the fruity razor blade and splice out the loop u want out of ur recording and make it unique witch is what i do that way u can stretch it and then resample ur new wav and laod it back into ur mpc and start the hole recording agin to ur fruityloops. this i call beat cannabalism to itself. ur making new samples out of 2 sounds boom bap. write back if u got issues or if u want to nkow more cool tricks, all i ask in return is u help someone else and me when i come asking u for formulas and u got em hahahaha hook me up see u at the top

if anyone ever told u u cant sync shit up must of just started doin this or was pulln ur leg MAN U GOT A **** MPC1000 LOL HENCE THE NAME MPC MIDI PRODUCTION CENTER witch later turnd to music production center cause of mass storage the modern mpc can hold alot of megabytes. i dont have much gear to be honest ive been doin this sense 96 with software free trackers like modplug and noisetracker ive used an old registerd copy of goldwave back wehn it costed 20bucks lol u dont wanna know how many dollars i spent on vst software. if knew about analog synth back then i would of gotten me an oldschool ms20 or i could have not bought vst software and bought me an andromeda well thats me for bein stupid to spend these years wasting slave labotr cash on software. last year i got my first hardware anything my first midi keyboard and the mpc1000 ive been a huge fl follower for years even saw the birth of it.but was i pissed when the mpc1000 didnt work as a soundmodule ohh man was i fumed. hardware is somthin im so new to so i got questions to. im still learning and relearning old tricks. the mpc1000 though i love to death machine is elite

ohh ya i forgot to tell u that if u want to sense u prolly already recorded and noticed 2 tracks its because of that one quarter inch cable connected to the slot 1 output of ur mpc1000 ya i forgot to tell u that if u pan ur sounds to the left ull see it get recorded to flstudio in mono as one track but if u pan it to the right agin samething if u leave it center ull see a odd display of the sample like u do now in the flstudio. remember to pan the sounds u want to record to fl in ur mpc1000
