MPC Audio Cuts Out

I chopped up a sample using the MPC slice feature and i managed to create a loop using 4 of the 8 pieces that i chopped up. Everything to this point was fine. I then proceeded to lay my Kick Snare and hat down on 3 seperate tracks (now im up to 4 tracks). This is where my problems starts...I have some bass notes that i sampled and i put them on the B Pad Bank (Everything else is on the A Pad Bank) and when I record the notes onto the 5th track the audio from the drums remain but the audio from the loop that I created using the chopped up sample cuts out. I decided to mute the track with the loop while i recorded my bassline just to see if i could play both after i recorded it. I managed to get the bassline down but the only way i can hear either track without them cutting out is mute one or the other. I was just wondering if anyone has an idea on how to fix this problem. The MPC that i have is a 1000. I have been searching hard for the answer but I can't find it anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

your program sounds like it's in mono

simply; RTFM

u probably have the sounds that cut each other off set to the same "mute group". go into the screen where u assign ur samples to the pads, click parameters and check that they are not assigned to a mute group, thats hould fix it

Check that on the program/params page the play: setting in the upper right corner is set to poly.

if his program was on mono then all his sounds would cut each other out, which is not the case, his drums still play , but the bass and whatever other sample mute each other out

tru dat... im still used the mpc 2k system( one program at a time)
