I have a question, is it possible to take a sequence, and record in real the muting and unmuting of tracks? I had an E-MU PX-7 before the MPC 1000 and this is how I used to track out my songs. I could do the entire song in real time using individual sequences. Right now I am making copies of sequences in the MPC with certain tracks muted in each sequence and then placing them into a song but it sounds a lot better when you can do the muting and unmuting in real time, where you can bring a track in or out at any point during the song/sequence. This would also make a computer unnecessary in my recording of tracks and when burning full-length tracks to CD I could use a simple multi-track recorder and record 4 tracks at a time.
