Getting a custom paint job for the 1k...

I noticed alot of people have custom paint jobs on their 1k's. Is there a place to get em done?

Or do people just paint em themselves? If so, what type of paint and finish is recommended?

If i do land up getting the 1k, i definatley wanna get rid of the red paint on the side panels. is there anywhere to maybe buy different coloured panels? It might be a more reasonable solution...

maybe you haven´t noticed, but the mpc 1000 is now black all over and not longer red and blue... unless you are looking at used gear.
to find out what other people did and used just search around the forum a bit or go to http://www.forat.com, if you have too much money, or to find an idea or two.
don´t forget to show your customized mpc in the studio pics tread if you finished it.

although i was really wondering if people paint their own samplers, and with what kind of paint and finish, if they do paint it anyway..

woooooh, careful there man, you might scare him into leaving his 1k standard....

i just sanded all the paint off mine, repainted it, scratched off 1/2 the 2nd coat, and clearcoated it. rust is forming underneath the clearcoat. shit looks rediculous.

yeah i was wondering the same thing. Just a regular spray paint will do wont it?
