i got the same set-up, using the mpc as the sequencer and reason as a sound module. ure gonna have to get a midi hub( midi to usb), and run a midi out from the mpc to the computer. cause the usb cable from ur controller is sendin data from ur controller, not the mpc. i dont the specs of ur controller but if it has midi in or midi thru the that could function as ur midi hub too if u run a midi out from the mpc into the controller. hope this helps!! :D

"they" dont know what theyre talkin about. usb is just the new way that u can transmit midi data from a controller to a computer program. but the mpc doesnt send midi data thru its usb port . only thru its midi outs. nor does it have a usb port to recieve midi neither does any hardware synth/sampler/sound module wahtever to the best of my knowledge its all midi. but anyway look on the m-audio site they have a bunch of midi to usb thingies. also try the e-mu site and tascam. p.s. if ure dealing with a desktop computer what i use is the m-audio audiophile 24/96 pci card , it has rca in and out , digital in and outs, and midi in and out. good luck :D
