Whats Wrong????

I been messing around with this 1000. I go and try to see if i can i chopp a sample up. I load the sample. press mode then trim. In the trim mode. I have only (F1) TRIM (F2) LOOP & (F6) EDIT. I dont have a (F5) SLICE. I have nothing at the top of (F5). Do i need some kind of upgrad? Can some one tell me whats going on?

Sounds like you're running an OS older than version 2. You can download the latest OS, and instructions on how to install it from www.akaipro.com - look in the 'support' section.

When you do the update, you might find that your screen goes blank. If that happens, hold down shift and spin the data wheel around to adjust the contrast of the display, and all will be well.

^^^ when you get tired of system errors/directory errors/new folder errors, then upgrade to OS 3.06 beta or the NEW OS 1.06 @ http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/.
