I think you're missing the difference between MIDI and audio. Check the guides at www.tweakheadz.com, or do a search on this forum, since it's a topic that's been covered many times.

Do u want to sample the keyboard(synth) into the MPC? I mean thats an aiight way to go about it, cuz sometimes i'll sample a lil bassline from my synth and put a filt on it resample it and then tweak a lil more and chop it, But for the most part MIDI is the way to go---Y waste sample time(RAM) when u got the sounds already stored(so to say)? Now u say RECORD IT INTO MY MPC--do u mean Sequence it like play a pattern or a melody from it and have it a s a track in the MP along wit the Drums and 808's and claps? Or Record a s sample?? Be more descriptive--but here goes somethin to get u goin..... 1st u need a mixer (dj mixer or a regular audio mixer AT LEAST 2 CHANNEL)(if u dont have a mixer u cant midi up-cuz u wont hear the synths sounds-so u'll have to sample it into the MPC for now-but if u got a mixer here goes...... Run the MPC's audio(stereo)out to the audio in 1 on the mixer and then run the synth(kbd) audio out to the mixers Audio In 2 then run the Mixers audio out (AMP) to an audio receiver's(ex-A shelf system/compact stereo, A component system or home theater receiver) audio in ( auxillary, line in,basically any open rca type jacks except-PHONO in--stay away--bad)... Then MIDI in(MPC) to midi out(synth) and MIDI In(synth) to MIDI Out(MPC).. then figure out the MIDI settings for both pieces of equip........ Once u get seasoned u'll figure out the individual outs and how to hook them up and how to set theMPC's internal mixer for the Ind. Outs........... Anyway take this post and save it, or something , so if u dont have the mixer already you'll know how to hook it up when u have it... Be as descriptive as possible----
