how to chop a sample

i know how to sample but when i go to mode and trim only the trim and loop tabs are displayed where is the slice tab, after i record it into the mpc do i have to re-record the sample on to a sequence in order to slice it?[/img]

Ah, when you are in the trim field, the F5 button I believe says slice, push that button, then choose how many times you want to slice it, pretty simple.

edit: maybe you don't have os2.1?

One of those buttons, I'm not(or wasn't) looking at it at the moment.
