hi y'all

can the MPC 1000 do this? or if not does anyone know if the MPC500 or SP4040 can do it...

you set up so that youre recording in audio samples. you press record (or use threshold) and then stop on the MPC1000 for each one and it then assignes them all directly to the next pad avaialble

or do you have to record a bunch in and them manually go assign each one to a pad..
its a time thing im checkin out here...

cheers

YES.....after you sample and press stop or run out of time you have the option of replaying the sample, renaming the sample, assigning to pad (just push the one you want to use or leave off) or retrying.

dosnt automatically do next pad available i dont believe, but if you just remember what your next open pad is you can push it

if i'm not mistaken that's the 4000 that does that.

like kollin said, its as easy as pressing which ever pad you want to assign it to after you press stop, before you press keep. you don't even have to remember which pad is empty, if you hit a pad and you hear a sound then that ones already being used.
