Soundcards

So i want to buy a new soundcard but i still dont know wich one.. i sure want to have one with more than 6 inputs for my mpc1000..

what kind of soundcards are you guys rocking for laying down tracks?

currently i got the dmx 6 fire wich pretty sucks ass... i think the M-Audio Delta 1010LT is pretty good it got 8 ins and outs..

mmhh.. it depends on what you can/want afford.
I use an RME Multiface II which is dope, state of the art converters, exteremely high dynamic range (don't have the numbers right now), 8 analog I/Os and spidif via lightpipe.
THe drivers are stable as hell, the totalmix software works with internal 32 bit resolution and it just rocks when it comes to internal routing, very simple and intuitive but w/extended funtionality.
It costs quite a lot, but it's worht every penny, maybe wait a bit more (as I did) and buy one.
One thing you have to know: multiface II goes thru PCMCIA cardbus which is not future-proof as it seems that computer manufacturers are ditching it in favour of express card.
Until now no news from RME about an express card adapter for the hammerfall dsp series (Multiface II, RPM and other models) but there are some ExpressCard to CardBus adapters.
A good alternative, always from RME is the fireface 400, specs are quite like the multiface only it connects via firewire. It's bigger brother fireface 800 is interesting too but pricey.
I'd stay away from m-audio, I read and was too many bad experiences I can't help but warn ppl to stay away from it.

fact is RME is pro standard while m-audio is bedroom musician stuff.
