other side of the looking glass is pretty emo, watching water, a very very dope track, i think its one of his greatest tracks. like tracks that he does has a hint of sadness "netting applause" off of the ehren and alias project, very slow tempo plus a haunting horn. its pretty crazy to see the progression from the othersideofthelookingglass to muted to alias and ehren and currently alias and tarsier, hes progressed and strayed so far away from sampling, its just inspiring. **** the bullshit good music is good music period. whatever the music does for you, if it makes you feel, **** what other people say. **** it if it aint even hip hop, good music is good music.

i dont know though , anticon with the exception of alias and a few others buck65 and some of the clouddead stuff has kinda been going off into a whole nother tangent, i've been finding comfort in the plague stuff, although missing orphan, staples new album should be commin out in a few. and trust me from the tracks i've heard, its awesome if you liked his old tracks!!!!

yeah looking glass was comparatively emo (comparative to rap music, but then again, hip hoppers claim everything other than rap is emo, including "Let's Do The Twist")

i haven't been following much anticon outside jel and dose recently - jel because he is a constant source of inspiration to me and dose because i think he's one of the pioneers of hip hop influenced electronic music (and a really really pleasant guy to hang out with and talk to). ironically, the people in anticon i most admire are the ones who dont really seem to care about the whole iconoclasticism of early anticon - they just keep their mouths shut and make cool tunes.

plague, also, i've been neglecting. been spending most my time on older hip hop.

in my opinion people worry too much about the genre and status of music w/out considering whether or not it sounds pretty - which is why they miss incredibly breathtaking production from alias, writing it off as being uncool and not "that real hip hop"

Two weeks ago I saw Jel and Dose's project "subtle"...It was out of control. Dose is from another planet, hilarious and entertaining...Jel performed the whole show live on an MPC and it was jaw-dropping...These are some complex innovative beats...If youve never heard Subtle I suggest you check it on, on Lex records.truly some next-level stuff, production wise....Watching Jel rock the pads actually inspired me to finally get an mpc, and thats why im on here writing to you today...

dose actually signed my mpc, i tried to get jel but he wasn't to be seen

jel PLAYS the mpc so well. composition is one thing, but being able to play the machine as well as he does is a whole other world.

damn nym good lookin out on the SOLE, i went to towers today and picked up the sellign live water and i gotta say, the beats are amazing as well as the way he rocks it. i thought he was going to go off like how doseone is, but **** dude his rhyming is just as dope as his earlier work with the Live Poets. **** insane! damn this is probably one of my top 10 albums of all time! ha
