Screen Display Help!!!!

How the hell do i "darken" the display on the MPC1000 Screen? Thats been annoying me for a long time and i cant seem to locate anything in the manual to adjust it. All the letters and numbers are currently way too light since i updated to OS4.

Please help... thanks
