So I was reading back a few pages.. and was on a thread about CF cards... not sure I really came to any kind of concrete conclusion unfortunately.

I currently have a 128MB CF card (JamMedia)... and the 32MB CF card that came with my new Black MPC1000.

I realize they have up to 2GB and I think even 4GB cards are available... my question is...

Is there a limit to the size of the CF cards that we can use with the MPC1000?
Should I bother getting a 2GB, which obviously would be preferable.. or is 256MB the limited size that the MPC1000 will recognize?

many thanks

personally, i would stick with the cards that you have and go get a hard drive. I have a 100gb hard drive inside my 1k.

I'm scared to do the hard drive thing.

heard too many people losing stuff.

i guess i should just get educated on it and i could avoid that though.

why are you still using an os that loses your saved data?

i haven't had any data lost. i just remember hearing about harddrive problems a while back.

its true, i haven't done enough research and it may be fixed now, but i am poor anyways.

i'll get one someday 8)
