need sum advice....Recording question??

Whats up folks...My question is....I been recording my beats to cassette and on cd(using Record pad and wave pad and some other free programs, problem is, is that the sound quality is $hit....) so i got like $400 together and i was lookin at a Tascam 8track w/ CF reader and USB to PC(send files to PC via USB and burn onto CD--I think the Tascam comes w/ Cubase LE or somethin) also I was lookin at a Yamaha MW-12(w/free Cubase LE included), i seen some Roland/Boss ones too... I was wonderin what some of y'all use or what u recomend.....It dont have to have a CD_R actually I dont want one w/ a CD-R cuz I just got a brand new one for my PC...Also It dont have to have a hard drive either--CF reader is straight with me!) I want to go w/ Hardware that comes with software---so u can edit a lil more) What do yall think?? Thanx in advance...Peace..

i use a phillips cd recorder, very easy and cheap. Anything that is more complex than analog recording is too much bullsh-t for me.

good look juxt, but im tryin ta get with a track recorder, i want studio grade stuff, so i can mix down better,etc... Any1 else?? or i guess noone records there beats???
