OS = Operating System (basically your version of windows / linux or Mac)

If you use windows XP or a Mac you should be okay.

:D wow I haven't laughed this hard in awhile! good lord! This must be a joke. Okay buddy, OS= Operating System. example: Windows
If you are buying a mpc, most likely you need some software to record your audio, I use Adobe Audition. Others use Cakewalk Sonar, Steinberg Cubase sx and sl, or Emagic Logic audio for the mac.

Actually the USB is used to transfer samples: so if you're going to record or edit samples on the PC you would be better of with wavelab, soundforge (my fav) or cooledit.

Yea man OS = Operating System. If your on pc examples of possible OS's are: Windows ME, Windows 98, Windows XP....

Dont feel bad, we all at some point didnt know what that meant either. peace
