No, that is not the reason why many of us will not be running out to buy the mpc1000. I've had my mpc2000xl for a year and a half now and I don't think I got anywhere near 100,000 notes let alone 300,000. The Mpc1000 just has too many similar features to justify spending $900 on. Since you're new to this music thing, I think she'll be perfet for you and not the 4000 beast. Maybe someday I will upgrade or buy the smaller one so I will have a mpc just for giggin.

vladvir231, remember me?
I thought you were buying a 2000XL last I spoke to you? Still asking about the note capacity, hu? Dont worry about that part, I do and still think for your sound and style of music your better off with a 2000 or 2000xl maxed out, than a 1000 (until i see it that is) the reason is... you seem to want something with mad power, beefy, and monster. If you use the PC a bunch, hold out till the 1000 hits stores, other wise get an older unit while they hot.

"current mpc users "

Yeah, all you _former_ MPC owners don't bother answering, even if you did own one for 8 years, write 4 top ten hits, and serve on the MPC High Council.

It never fails that I see at least one subject header every day that does not make sense.

yeah, i done more research and found that i'd rather get a 1000.....

plus ive heard that alot of people who bid on and win stuff from ebay and dont recieve the items after paying... the 1000 doesnt need an extra zip and immeditaely updating so yeah im waiting for the reviews of the 1000 to decide if i wanna get that....
