Ghost in the Machine

Over the last few months, this mpc 1000 I have has slowly driven me crazy...Whenever I leave it on for over an hour or two, it will suddenly start spitting static and random samples from the internal sound bank!

I even had my mpc replaced with a brand new one and it still does the same thing! and changed the OS to the new one from JJ! SAME FREAKY BIDNESS!

Anyone else have a posessed MPC 1000?

seen one do that before when i was at a music store.

it would play random samples and a random sequence of highhats every 5 minutes or so. it was fried....just like how yours probalbly is.

return yours again if you can. its not supposed to do that...ever!

reseat the ram if you can't return and swap it out

the fact that it happened to a fairly new mpc, and it happend to your other mpc, It might be the electric supply. read the faq on this page:

hold on so u mean to tell me this is an electrical problem.. i get weird static sounds and sounds playing from all banks i have... and this happens when i use loop feature or use decay in the velocity area in the program.. if i give it an attack to high it does this effect and if i decay to high it does this effect if i loops to tight it does this effect.. i didnt knowq my mpc1000 was busted i thought this was only a bug.. well that **** sucks cause my warranty ran out
