I don't feel like scrolling through 20 pages to find the answer to this question, so here it is

What is the maximum RAM upgrade for the MPC? I'm playing shows with a huge amount of samples and I need way more than 128 MB at a time.
Also, what is the biggest Flash card, I heard you can upgrade to like a gig or something...is there any way to get a gig of RAM? that would be amazing. I never want to have to use a computer for this shit!
Thanks dudes

I understand it is quite humorous that I did not know about the 80-100 gig possibility a minute ago. but clearly you are the man because you have made over 5,000 posts on here--you must make sick beats, boy you know a lot of info! Neat! Antonymn, is that really your alias? Hilarious. Chill with the geeking out, kid.

And this basic of the most basic info cannot be had from reading the Akai Professional MPC hardware spec pages on the web.... Why?

I'm not even going to say anything about that user manual thing.....

Dude, if you really need more than 24 minutes sampling time, there has to be something wrong with what you're doing.

P.S. If you're not willing to help yourself by reading some basic information, don't expect others to run to your aid.

i'm sampling keyboards buddy, because my keyboards can't play more than one midi channel at a time, the way it usually goes with the synths with the most personality like juno106, etc... Nothing wrong with a little friendly keyboard sampling

fam to answer your question, the largest capacity of RAM you can have in your 1k is 128MB. or if you are buying the RAM from a store, get 256MB but the 1k will only see 128. the reason to get 256 is cause it's cheaper (price) than buying it from akai. as far as the CF card goes, just go out and buy a hard drive. you can have a 100GB+ in your mpc.

thankyou. I guess I'll just have to get anothe flash card and do a new autoload in between sets. It gets hard when you're doing like 8 songs with sequences containing resampled keyboards, I wish the 1k had more midi outs, I gotta get the 2500!
